LinkedIn

The LinkedIn integration is built, but it is not generally available yet. LinkedIn still limits myHERALD to the Community Management API Development Tier, which is only suitable for development and approved test accounts.

Before you start

  • Your LinkedIn account must be assigned to the myHERALD app as an approved reviewer or test account while the app remains in Development Tier.
  • You should be signed into the LinkedIn account you want myHERALD to post as in the same browser.

Connect it

  1. Open Settings → Integrations and find the LinkedIn card.
  2. Click Connect. LinkedIn's authorization screen opens in a new tab.
  3. Pick the profile you want HERALD to post as and approve the requested permissions.
  4. You'll return to myHERALD with the card showing a Connected badge and the profile name.

What Standard Tier will unlock

The planned integration covers both personal profiles and company pages you administer. The same official LinkedIn OAuth flow will let you choose the publishing destination once production access is available.

What is already built

  • Single posts up to LinkedIn's 3,000-character limit.
  • Carousels with up to 20 slides (PDF rendering of generated images).
  • Native document attachments.
  • Auto-post a first comment as the first reply, a common LinkedIn tactic for keeping links out of the main post.
  • Read and reply to post comments from the myHERALD Comments Inbox.
  • Track impressions and engagement in Analytics.
  • Scheduled delivery down to the minute, respecting your account timezone.
  • Images attached from the Media library or generated on the fly by the Illustrator agent.

Availability

No launch date is promised because approval timing is controlled by LinkedIn. The public status will switch to Available as soon as Standard Tier access is granted and verified with a non-test customer account.

Troubleshooting for reviewers and test accounts

LinkedIn rejects the authorization request. Confirm that the LinkedIn account is assigned to the app as an authorized reviewer or test account. Development Tier does not allow arbitrary customer accounts.

The card shows a red dot and a "Reconnect" banner. LinkedIn invalidated the token, for example after a password change or revoked app access. Click the banner and run the connect flow again.

Disconnect

Open the kebab menu on the LinkedIn card and pick Disconnect. myHERALD revokes its token and stops publishing. Published history remains intact.
