LinkedIn is myHERALD's flagship integration. Once connected, the Publisher agent posts approved content directly to your LinkedIn personal profile through the official LinkedIn API — single posts, carousels, and native documents, scheduled to the minute.
Before you start
- A LinkedIn account with Creator Mode enabled (Settings → Account preferences → Creator mode on linkedin.com).
- You should be signed into the LinkedIn account you want myHERALD to post as in the same browser. If you manage multiple profiles, double-check the active session before clicking Connect.
Connect it
- Open Settings → Integrations and find the LinkedIn card.
- Click Connect. LinkedIn's authorization screen opens in a new tab.
- Pick the profile you want HERALD to post as and approve the publish permission.
- You'll be returned to myHERALD with the card showing a Connected badge and the profile name.
Personal profiles vs. company pages
Personal-profile publishing is live today. Company-page publishing is on the roadmap — we're waiting for myHERALD to be granted access to LinkedIn's Community API. When it ships, the same connect flow will let you pick any company page you admin in addition to your personal profile.
What you can do
- Single posts up to LinkedIn's 3,000-character limit.
- Carousels with up to 20 slides (PDF rendering of generated images).
- Native document attachments.
- Scheduled delivery down to the minute, respecting your account timezone.
- Images attached from the Media library or generated on the fly by the Illustrator agent.
Troubleshooting
The card shows a red dot and a "Reconnect" banner. LinkedIn invalidated the token (typically because you changed your LinkedIn password, revoked the app, or the long-lived token aged out). Click the banner and run the connect flow again — no data is lost.
Publish fails with a permission error. Open Settings → Integrations and disconnect LinkedIn, then reconnect. Make sure you approve the publishing permission on LinkedIn's authorization screen — declining it leaves the connection in a half-broken state.
I want to post as a different profile. Disconnect first, sign into the other profile on linkedin.com, then click Connect on the LinkedIn card again. myHERALD takes whichever profile is active in the browser session.
Disconnect
Open the kebab menu on the LinkedIn card and pick Disconnect. myHERALD revokes its token and stops publishing. Posts already on the calendar will fail until you reconnect; everything published before disconnect stays in the dashboard and on LinkedIn.
