Working with HERALD

Analytics and insights

Analytics is a weekly read on how your content is doing and what to do next, not just a wall of raw numbers. It pairs the hard metrics with a plain-language take, so you leave the page knowing what worked and what to try.

Editorial summary

At the top sits a written headline lede that sums up the period in a sentence or two, followed by three insight cards: a Win (what went well), a Watch (what to keep an eye on), and a Note (context worth remembering). The summary refreshes weekly.

KPI ribbon

A row of headline numbers gives you the state of the operation at a glance:

  • Total content
  • Published
  • Approval rate
  • Average days to publish
  • Rework rate

The breakdowns

Below the ribbon, a set of charts and tables break the picture down:

  • Per-platform performance.
  • A pipeline funnel from idea to published.
  • Content-mix bars showing the balance of what you produce.
  • Approval, rework, and rejected trends over time.
  • A publish-timing and best-time-to-publish heatmap.
  • A campaign progress table.
  • A top-posts leaderboard.

Engagement metrics

Engagement is collected automatically right after a post publishes, refreshed when the page loads for recent posts (behind a staleness gate so it does not re-fetch needlessly), and force-refreshable with the Refresh button. The engagement table lists every published post with its latest numbers and flags your top performer. Rows for platforms you have since disconnected are greyed out, so the history stays intact without looking active.

Coverage spans your connected platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, Threads, X, and Bluesky. LinkedIn analytics will become generally available once myHERALD receives Community Management API Standard Tier access.

What's Working

What's Working is the learning engine. Each week it distils 3 to 7 plain-language insights from your own results, labelled Works, Avoid, Timing, or Context. These same insights are fed into every new draft HERALD writes, so it visibly learns from what performs for you rather than starting from scratch each time.

Until roughly 5 published posts have engagement data, this section shows a “still learning” state. Keep publishing and the insights fill in.

Export

Export the report (lede, KPIs, per-platform breakdown, and campaigns) to Google Docs, PDF, CSV, or Excel. The export is scoped to whatever date range and filters you have applied, so you get exactly the slice on screen. See Exporting content and reports for the full picture.
